Typography is one of the most important and intriguing visual languages that we have, and in a wold of computers and overly designed signs and media its refreshing to see something handmade. This is a brief look at hand painted signage around town that inspire me, and a look at artist that share the same inspiration.
I think this is my favorite I've seen so far. You must have a ton of adventures searching for such treasures! Perhaps share your story of stumbling across this signage with some words?
ReplyDeleteI also agree, this is my favorite so far. I love old buildings like this, just looking at them you know they have great stories behind them. Where did you find this place at?
ReplyDeleteAnother lover, the retro shadow effect along with the slight curve of the Pure Ice part is my favorite though, I don't know why but it really catches my attention.
ReplyDeleteI would have to agree with the rest as one of my favorites. I had wandered around down town sometime ago looking for historical places to take engagement photos at. There are some gems west of the homeless shelters in that industrial area. Another favorite was the Glass Factory, which the bricks that had the letters G and L had fallen out. Priceless
